SPIRIT - 500 years ago a group of Spanish horses escaped from a Mexican cattle ranch. These horses became wild... they became known as the Mustang! Spirit looks just like the character from the movie 'Spirit'.
He is a young horse that loves to interact with people and is by far the most curious. His body is strong and broad making him a great endurance horse while on a long trail ride.
Oakley
Oakley
She is a Paint that is a descendant of the Spanish horses brought to America in the 16th century. The American Indian developed a special relationship with the 'Painted Horse'. Perhaps this friendship grew from the shared desire to be free.
Oakley is fast. Super fast. When we head out past the tracks and onto the dirt roads she explodes! Leaving any other horse in the dust. Most horses have 4 gears. Oakley has 9. Fast and Beautiful sums up Oakley.
Lady
Lady
She is an Arabian making her the most historically documented horse the world has ever seen. The Koran of Islam reveres the importance of the Arab horse by saying, "This shall be the seat where prayers rise up to me, you shall fly without wings and conquer without sword."
Lady has the best temperament of all our horses. She will have you figured out in 5 minutes and will adapt her movements to suit the riders level of experience. Absolutely phenomenal with children. Sometimes we wonder if she is more human than horse. She's getting up in age but while out on a trail ride she keeps up and then some. Lady is also River's favourite horse.
Symphony
Symphony
An imposing horse with great presence and spirit. She is an American Saddlebred whose Southern roots run deep. Bred for the Confederate Calvary Soldiers of the American Civil War this horse can move through the roughest of terrain while giving its rider a smooth and comfortable ride.
Symphony rules the roost here at the ranch. Only our experienced riders are able to work with her as her attitude can be testy at times. Symphony is Dan's favourite horse.
